The Beach - What a day!

So it was freezing cold at home because of what the weather forecasters called an inversion of cold air trapped low in the valley. They also said that the coast was alot warmer because of what was happening in the valley. Jer had the weekend off so we said let's head to the coast. Oh my goodness did we hit the JACKPOT! The weather was perfect, NO WIND, we were comfortable in t shirts. Of course the water was FLIPPING cold. But we still had a blast and once our feet were numb the ocean was ok. I kept saying over and over, this is January, this is January because the weather was AMAZING! The biggest obstacle to overcome was Calleigh's fear of the ocean every visit she has freaked out, we were pleasantly surprised by her new reaction, she was OVERJOYED! HOORAY!!!

We got a late start and as you can see the girls didn't make it......

But they woke up quick once they realized where they were! Love this pic of Dad and his girls!

The Big rock was full of Harbor seals.

And of course EVERYWHERE we go they gotta throw rocks!

After visiting the Tidepools and lighthouse we had to go find SAND!

Lora kept saying, it's cold, it's cold. She didn't go as deep as her Dad and Cal, which normally she doesn't care how cold it is, guess it really was too cold!

Meanwhile Dad and Lora were building a Sandcastle, but they later decided just to build a mountain, much easier and our feet were starting to really lose all feeling.......
