It was a hard day for us, time for Lora's very first surgery, of course we are lucky, many children with Down syndrome have numerous surgeries, and Lora is almost 7 and this is her first. She had major issues with Sinus Infections, and so this was supposed to help that and her sleeping problems! The surgery went well, and she was out before we knew it! Oh and gotta love technology, I could keep family posted on how she was doing by facebook! Do you want to know how crazy this child is, She wouldn't eat Popsicles, but she SCARFED down cake as soon as we got home (they told me to give her whatever she'll eat). She healed well, and did well with the pain, as long as we stayed on top of the pain meds! Way to go girl! Oh and the best part of the surgery, was an extended vacation with Daddy!
Lora waiting to check in!

Loving Daddy!
Down in pre op, she had just been given some drugs, they hadn't kicked in yet......
We knew the drugs were kicking in, because she couldn't write anymore and she was loopy and her tongue started to hand out of her mouth, it was kinda funny as she'd sway back and forth!!! :)
Just out of surgery, back in her room and giving Daddy some loving!
Who knows a child that doesn't like POPSICLES? Mine doesn't like them, it took us everything to try and get her to suck on them. Here is Daddy showing her it tastes good!
As soon as she was coming to in recovery guess who she was asking for, Mom ? Dad ? Nope Papa and Nana, so we called them.
Feeling a little better......
