Swimming with Grandma

Lora was doing well with swimming at OSU this winter, and then in the Spring she freaked out and started having major issues getting into the water. We tried and tried, with no luck, she'd scream at the top of her lungs. This summer we went over to Grandma Brown's a few times, and Lora still had issues, but Donna is AWESOME with her and helped her to do okay, she's so patient with her, even as Lora is trying to rip her neck off with her fingernails. Now Calleigh on the other hand took to the pool like a fish! It was crazy, she hasn't been in pools very much, and the first day we went over she had some little floats in her suit to keep her head out of the water, but she's swim all over the place. It was amazing. And she LOVED jumping in, and I got the courage (with Jer's help) to let her even go under and let her bring herself up above the water. She could totally do it! Hopefully she'll rub off on Lora!

Look at my little fishy! As she'd swim, she'd tell me, Mom, I'm riding my bike, I'm riding my bike, it was the cutest thing! Swimming just came so natural to her!
