Disneyland 2008 ~ Our 10 year anniversary

We left Friday morning and Jer tried to sleep most of the way (which I don't think he got any). We were very lucky because the week before I-5 was closed because of the heavy snow, but thankfully the weather and roads were perfect! We decided to stop in Stockton at the worst hotel ever, we didn't realize it until after we paid and got into the room and there was a sign that said when you are in the room keep the doors locked at all times for your protection. We almost left, but we knew the girls needed to sleep so we blocked the doors and stayed for a few hours before leaving once again and finishing our trip by arriving at Disneyland at noon on Saturday. Calleigh wasn't feeling well she threw up Friday morning before we left and by Saturday am we stopped to get her Benadryl for a rash she was starting to get, poor thing. We headed into Disneyland for a little play, then left in the early evening to meet up with our friends, Mike, Melissa, Emman and Jacob who decided to fly in, instead of that horrible long drive (we actually had planned to all EIGHT of us drive down in there Tahoe! We had a week of fun, meeting characters and riding rides. We went to Seaworld for a day. The only bad thing that happened was that the Anderson's were getting over a nasty eye thing and even though we kept the kids away, the girls ended up getting it anyways, thankfully Melissa still had meds so we were able to get on top of it, but you can see in the pics done on thursday and friday the girls were starting to look pretty bad. I had planned to do all our family shots at the end of the week so in the begining we could have fun and play all day, well that had to be scrapped because Cal then Lora looked so bad! On our actual anniversary we won passes to stay late in the park, that was a fun experience, for all who had won, they were herded into this huge area in Frontierland and they had music going, I have never seen so many people in one place doing the chicken dance, I'd say 90% maybe more were all doing everything from the Hokey Pokey to the Electric Slide, Only at Disneyland! Also on our anniversary we got to have an amazing experience with Mulan who is Lora's favorite, as well as I got surprised by Mike and Melissa, they took the girls while Jer and I had a spectacular dinner at the Blue Bayou, the food was PERFECT! We had so many amazing character experiences, I could go on and on, like how Daddy Incredible Danced with Lora, Cinderella saw us and her and Prince Charming took Lora for a walk, Mulan meeting Lora, and then when she saw Lora later on, she ran across and gave Lora a big hug, it brought tears to my eyes several times. Calleigh liked the characters from a distance and ESPECIALLY in the comfort of Mom's arms, However the little one went right up to Prince Phillip and gave him a hug, she hid from FroZo and he played peek a boo with her from behind her blanket, it was very cute! Lora went on all the rides except Screamin and Maliboomer because she is too short, she loves rollercoasters! We left for home on Saturday about noon, Calleigh puked during stopped traffic in LA, thankfully I had stolen the ice bucket from our first motel because she wasn't feeling good on the way down, so I was able to catch it! Lora was so good she held her potty forever, we actually put her in a pullup because we didn't want to have to stop, but she stayed dry even with the long drive without breaks! Even though they weren't feeling well the girls really did well of course the DVD's were a lifesaver. My butt and hips hurt from sitting that long, but we kept going and arrived home about 3am, we should've stopped but once we hit Roseburg, it was like we are almost there! We took them to the doctors on Monday and they both had ear infections and we got more drops for the eyes, Thanks for sharing Andersons! Just kidding, we still had a blast!!!!
